Census 2020

As a member of the Macon-Bibb Complete Count Census Committee, Georgia Women hosted numerous educational tables and jointly hosted an educational salon (with the League of Women Voters and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority) at Macon-Bibb Government Center. These gatherings were a part of the education phase of Census.gov and allowed the community to learn about the Census. In late 2019 and early 2020, before the pandemic, three events were held at which members composed handwritten postcards with information about the Census. Thousands of postcards were mailed to residents in traditionally under reported areas of Macon-Bibb and Houston Counties.
